The Noble and Most Ancient House of Lestrange is a Pure-Blood Wizarding Families and members of the Sacred Ffity-Four, they are of French and English extraction. They are closely related to the Black and Malfoy families. They have a shady history, stained with supposed practice of the Dark Arts. Many Lestranges are considered touched, as the family has a reputation for producing mental instability more often than other family lines. The Lestranges supported Gellert Grindelwald during the Global Wizarding War and were along with the Rosiers, exiled from France. Their official family motto is “Un Jeu Différent."
